From the past to the future
Lichfield’s Fairtrade City status had lapsed. Our first goal was to restore Lichfield’s status as a Fairtrade Community. This has now been done.

Who’s doing this?
The members of the Steering Group come from local government, charities, places of worship, and the general community.
Who can get involved?
Anyone and everyone: businesses, cafés, churches, shops, schools, groups of any kind. We want all of Lichfield to be part of this.
What’s Fairtrade’s goal?
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers around the world, but particularly in lower income countries.
What comes next?
In the immediate future, Fairtrade Fortnight
